This workshop includes detailed information on how the MBTI® instrument can be used to enhance personal development and coaching skills for leaders. It includes practical sessions to raise awareness of personal type development and also sessions incorporating type into experiential coaching techniques.

Throughout the day, the following areas will be covered:

  • Type in the context of developing authentic and effective leaders
  • Type development and effective expression of type
  • Advanced understanding of type dynamics.

To attend this workshop you must be a qualified practitioner of the MBTI instrument. You should therefore have successfully completed one of the following:

  • MBTI Step I Qualifying Workshop
  • MBTI Step I Conversion Workshop
  • Level B Intermediate Plus Workshop with OPP.

Delegates must also:

  • Have a working knowledge of type dynamics
  • Have experience of applying the MBTI Instrument in a coaching/development context
  • Have considerable experience in coaching.

If you do not have this experience, you may find the ‘Using the MBTI instrument in coaching and management development’ workshop a more suitable level to start with.

This workshop will help to build upon the extensive knowledge gained from your qualifying training. It will help you to develop the skills and experience you need to apply the MBTI instrument in a coaching or leadership development context.

On completion of this workshop, you will:

  • Be able to draw on the benefits of using type for developing authentic and effective leaders
  • Understand the impact of type development on the expression of type
  • Be able to incorporate type into practical coaching tools and techniques to facilitate change for clients
  • Understand how to work with clients experiencing stress or in midlife transition.
