This intensive workshop uses a variety of learning methods, including visual media, interactive exercises, group work, presentations and real-life practice sessions.
Some pre-work is required, including reading texts provided, completing the MBTI® Step I and 16PF® questionnaires and receiving feedback on both instruments. Delegates must successfully complete the pre-work, coursework and practical assessments, and demonstrate their competence through fieldwork and attend Part Two to gain the Level B qualification.

Part One

  • General grounding in personality theory and assessment
  • The MBTI instrument – theory and construction, type theory, understanding the preferences, applications and ethical use
  • The 16PF instrument – theory and construction, trait theory, understanding the scales, applications and ethical use
  • Practical skills, including administration, scoring, interpretation, report writing and administering feedback
  • Technical issues, including reliability and validity.

To attend this workshop delegates must hold the BPS Level A Certificate in Occupational Testing. The workshop is particularly beneficial for:

  • Human resources professionals
  • Training and organisational development specialists
  • Other managers or consultants who wish to use ability or aptitude tests for selection, assessment or career counselling.

The OPP® Level B Intermediate Plus Workshop is one of the few BPS-accredited workshops that offers qualification in the use of two world-leading personality assessments.
On completion of this workshop, you will:

  • Be eligible to receive the British Psychological Society (BPS) Certificate of Competence in Occupational Testing (Level B Intermediate Plus)
  • Be able to purchase, administer and apply two leading personality tools: the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator Step I and the 16PF personality questionnaire
  • Be able to purchase the Innovation Potential Indicator (IPI) instrument from OPP.
